The Patriot Way

The Patriot Way

The Patriots have spoiled me for as long as I’ve lived. I was born in 1997, so I pretty much haven’t seen the Patriots struggle my entire life. I go to school not too far from Philadelphia, so the last week and half has been unbearable listening to their chatter. The confidence New Englanders have in this team is justified. The other day an Eagle fan had the audacity to glare at me and say “You Should Be Scared”. This made me think…should I be?

The ball is in Philadelphia’s court here. The last time the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl the Patriots beat them in devastating fashion, and now they’re back and are greeted by none other than the Patriots themselves…over a decade later having accomplished more in that span than the Eagles have in their entire franchise history. Yikes. Not to mention the Eagles celebrated the NFC championship as if they had won a Super Bowl. For them this season is already a victory. In contrast the Patriots barely batted an eye after winning in comeback fashion against the Jags because as has been established, in New England it’s Super Bowl or bust.

This is why all the pressure is most certainly on the Eagles this fine Sunday. This isn’t an 18-0 season in the balance. This is not revenge against the Giants either. For the Patriots this is routine. From the Vinateiri field goal winners to the Malcolm Butler game saving interception the Patriots always seem to find a way, and therefore I have no reason to doubt them this weekend.

Prediction: Patriots 30-19

One for the other ring finger baby!
