The Jets Can’t Do Anything Right

The Jets Can’t Do Anything Right

The New York Jets literally can’t do anything right. When they tried to win last season, they went 5-11 and barely beat the atrocious 2-14 49ers. Now their ONLY job this season was to not make it too obvious that they’re trying to lose every game, and now the Jets are 3-2 and tied for 1st in the AFC East, failed Browns backup quarterback Josh McCown seems to be the future, and running back Elijah McGuire, who was the 188th pick overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and has a name that sounds like he should be the lead role of a shitty romantic comedy, not the star rookie of the Jets, had a 69 yard touchdown run vs a solid Jags defense.

Do these drive results vs the 0-5 Browns look like those of a team with the same record as the Patriots? Apparently they do. I have no idea how a team who cut every significant player on their roster (besides Matt Forte, who is a literal dinosaur) can enter Week 6 with a legitimate chance to have sole possession of 1st in the AFC East during the Brady/Belichick era, but it’s happening and I’m begging someone to make this nightmare end. If the Jets make the playoffs and the Pats don’t, the Yankees make it to the World Series, LeBron wins the East again, and I have to watch the Bruins continue to shoot themselves in the foot, then I’ll officially know what living in hell feels like, or at least what it used to feel like to be a Jets/Mets/Islanders/Knicks fan. Oh and Colorado football is back to being a literal dumpster fire, so that’s just swell.

Fun fact, we know nothing about football, the Jets are an anomaly, I’ll do questionable things for the NBA season to start tomorrow so I can block out the NFL and Pac-12 football seasons, and for Jets fans, “Oh the misery continues”.

Side note: Maybe if the Mets try to tank they’ll actually win a World Series for once.
