Pac-12 Tournament Bracket Prediction
March 9, 2017The Pac-12 Tournament is underway, so I’ve decided to post my bracket prediction for the tournament. For those of you familiar with the Pac-12 tournament, you would know that upsets rarely happen throughout the tournament, so it’s fairly easy to predict. In fact, last year’s tournament didn’t see a single upset, with the higher seeded team winning in literally every matchup. It’s hard to imagine that March tournament Basketball could be that predictable, but in the Pac-12’s case it is. Does this predictability explain why Pac-12 teams have widely had poor NCAA Tournament runs in the last few seasons? Possibly, but regardless it primarily results in easy brackets and great matchups leading up to Selection Sunday. Personally, the only upset I have is #3 UCLA eliminating a solid #2 Arizona. Both teams have had phenomenal seasons led by some of the nation’s players, but UCLA has been playing slightly better than Arizona recently, especially during their recent road win against the Wildcats themselves in Tucson, Arizona. Below I’ve added my realistic prediction and my completely biased prediction for this year’s Pac-12 Tournament. Check it out and don’t miss any of the stellar games this week, especially the highly anticipated rematch between #3 UCLA and #2 Arizona this Friday!
