First to Home: MLB Rundown September 26th
September 27, 2017Judge Hits 50th: The Yankees won 11-3 yesterday behind two Aaron Judge home runs. With his total of 50 he has broken Mark McGwire’s rookie record. It has been an up and down season for Judge, but he still remains at the center of the MVP discussion.
Rockies Can’t Seal Playoff Birth: The Colorado Rockies again lost a tightly contested affair last night to the Marlins. While the Brewers have lost a few games recently the Rockies still haven’t managed to expand their lead, bringing them to a must win situation these next few games.
Dodgers Get 100th Win: Many thought the Dodgers would reach 100 wins much earlier, but nonetheless LA finally reached the century mark behind a stellar outing from Yu Darvish. While the Dodgers have drastically slowed down in September they still remain one of the most dangerous playoff teams, especially with their starting pitching.
Sox Win Streak Snapped: Josh Donaldson led the charge for the Blue Jays in a 6-4 victory to halt the Red Sox brief 6 game winning streak. With the Yankees win the Red Sox divisional lead is cut to just 4 games, but they should be able to hold on.
What to Watch: With most of the playoff spots signed sealed and delivered there still remains a few interesting storylines heading into the last week. Will Stanton eclipse 60 Home Runs? Will the Rockies take care of business? Will The Red Sox pull a last year? Big Week ahead, get excited.
