First to Home: MLB Rundown September 20th
September 20, 2017Twins Lose Again in the Bronx: The Twins lineup was once again held in check last night at Yankees Stadium. C.C. Sabathia continues to be a staple in the Yankees rotation. While the Twins did they still remain 1.5 games up on the Angels who also lost last night.
Pomeranz the Red Sox Ace?: Hear me out. Drew Pomeranz is the Red Sox ace right now. After a difficult start to the season Pomeranz has completely turned it around and now boasts a 5th best 3.28 ERA. Last night he held the Orioles scoreless in a game the Red Sox would eventually win 1-0 in 11 innings.
Brewers Surging: The Brew crew continues to get outstanding starting pitching down the stretch. They have won 6 of 7 while the Rockies have lost 4 of 7 and they are now only one game back of the Rockies for the second Wild Card.
Indians Win Again: Yes their Win streak ended. No it didn’t impede their momentum. The Tribe have responded to the loss by winning 3 straight. In a series vs. an Angels club desperate for wins the Tribe might just sink their playoff hopes.
Max Scherzer Shines: Scherzer picked up his 15th win against the Braves on Monday night and in doing so also picked up his 250 strikeout of the season, bringing his streak to 4 years running. Cy Young Lock.
