Rockies Slide Continues: After losing again on Wednesday to the last place Giants, the Rockies have now lost 8 straight ball games. Their bats are extremely cold, especially the likes of Charlie Blackmon, who up until recently had been the clubs most dependable bat.

Red Sox Remain Unpredictable: The Red Sox lost 4-1 to the Twins Wednesday night to halt the Sox brief 2 game win streak. All season the Red Sox have been unable to get on a roll the way they did last season, with both their offense and pitching staff being unpredictable. The last time they completed a series sweep was home against the Rangers, over a month ago.

Nats Show Why They are at Top of the League: The Cubs came into this series against the Nationals determined to make a statement against one of the best teams in baseball. However, after losing a close one on Monday night, the Nationals offense has showed out. The 14 runs they have provided over the last two contests has been more than enough for their co-aces Scherzer and Strasburg.

Indians Win in Francona Return: Terry Francona returned to action on Wednesday night after missing Tuesday’s contest with an undisclosed illness. The team responded appropriately setting the tone with three early runs. For the Rangers, the inconsistency of supposed ace Yu Darvish is worrisome as they try to make a Wild Card push over the course of these summer months.

Angels beat Dodgers Again: The Angels walked off on a strikeout as Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal surrendered a passed ball. The Angels have managed to win even in the absence of Mike Trout. They expect Trout to return in the next week or two, which could be the boost they need to make a run at the wildcard.

Astros Offense: The Astros offense simply will not let up. In an 11-8 victory over the A’s on they got contributions from top to bottom with everyone in their lineup totaling at least one hit, and as a team they knocked 17 hits.

Aaron Judge: After a few weeks of struggles people began to think Aaron Judge was coming back to Earth. However, that might not be the case, as the the monster Judge has produced at least a hit and RBI in 5 of his last 6 games. His OBP is also skyrocketing as he is beginning to walk at a ridiculous rate.
