Red Sox Lose Again But Get Nunez: The Mariners downed the Red Sox for the second straight night on Tuesday. The demoralizing 13 inning loss continues to add to the growing concern around the Red Sox club house. However, midway through the contest the Sox acquired Giants Third Basemen Eduardo Nunez to help bolster their struggling lineup. Time will tell.

Rays End Drought: The Rays had a much needed 5-4 win over the O’s on Tuesday night to end a 5 game slide. Prior to Tuesday the Rays appeared to be falling off, but the win could potentially lift them going forward.

Indians Continue to Pull Away: Edwin Encarnacion belted a walkoff grand slam to down the Angels in 11 innings. The Indians knocked two grand slams in the contest and continue to showcase why they are once again going to be a threat in October. Winners of 5 straight, they refuse to let the Royals surpass them in the division.

Dodgers First To 70 Wins: Simply Amazing. Behind the arm of Kenta Maeda (9-4) the Dodgers beat the Twins 6-2 continuing their pursuit for the best record in MLB history.

Brewers Get Big Win: Over the last two weeks no team has struggled more than the Milwaukee Brewers. However, recognizing the importance of Tuesday night surely, Ace Zack Davies turned in a brilliant start and the offense led by Travis Shaw scored 8 runs to blank the Nats 8-0. The Brewers are holding on to their slim .5 game lead in the division.

Yankees Just 1 Back: Tuesday Night’s affair with the Reds didn’t begin promisingly when Todd Frazier grounded into an early triple play, but the Yankees, led by Didi Gregorius, won for the 4th time in their last 5 games to pull within 1 game of the Red Sox in the AL East. Ok Yanks.
