Cubs vs Dodgers: Game 5 Prediction
October 19, 2017The Dodgers and Cubs face off in Wrigley Thursday night in what should be another battle. The Dodgers will bring ace Clayton Kershaw to the hill while the Cubs will have midseason acquisition, Jose Quintana, on the mound. This game is going to be intense from the first pitch I guarantee it. The Cubs got the spark of hope they needed after winning a gritty contest last night 3-2. Tonight though, the Dodgers are ready to finally fulfill expectations and make it to the World Series. Here is Why:
Clayton Kershaw. Yes Kershaw has struggled on the mound in the postseason, that cannot be denied. For all the flack this guy gets about his 4.57 postseason ERA and his inability to pitch out of jams in the big moments, this is where he ends all that talk. Kershaw has been improving his numbers over the course of the last postseasons and proved he can be that clutch guy last year when he came in relief to record a save in game 5 against the Nationals. Kershaw is the man of the moment and tonight the Cubs season ends.
Not to mention while the Dodgers were held to two runs last night, they have averaged 5.3 runs per game in these playoffs, and Justin Turner absolutely can’t be stopped right now.
Prediction: 5-2 Dodgers
P.S. Dodgers vs Yankees is about to be quite the World Series. Check back in here with reactions to this one tomorrow.
