Big News Going on Inside the NBA

There has been a lot of buzz around the league and I am going to get you guys all caught up on what has been going on.

Tyreke Evans out of Memphis?

G/F Tyreke Evans has been in many conversations and trade rumors in the NBA.  While he has had an already impressive season this year, Evans is done in Memphis.  The Grizzlies announced that while a deal is not currently in place, he is for sure done in Memphis and will be sat until he is dished out at the Trade Deadline.  Evans is averaging 19.5 ppg, 5 rpg, and 5 apg.

All Stars Out

While there was a lot of talk around the league about All-Star Game snubs, they have found their way in.  Three All-Star players have found themselves out a significant amount of time, F/C Kevin Love, C DeMarcus Cousins, and G John Wall. With those three out 3 “snubbed” players will fill their place.  Cousins is replaced by F Paul George, C Andre Drummond replaced Love, and there is still a replacement to be named for Wall.  Since he is from the East the top three candidates for replacement are G Ben Simmons, G Jaylen Brown, and G Goran Dragic. The NBA will replace them with the next player on the Coaches voting list.

Nikola Mirotic to be Dealt?

The Bulls and Pelicans had a trade in place sending F Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicans in exchange for C Omer Asik and a 1st Round pick but for some reason unknown the trade has fell through.  Even though that trade will not happen, Mirotic is going to be benched till he is traded away and should be traded by the deadline.  Mirotic is getting 16.8 ppg 6.4 rpg and 1.9 apg.

Clippers Not Done Yet

The Los Angeles Clippers just recently dealt F Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons and apparently are not done yet.  According to sources, the Clippers are looking to trade away G Lou Williams and C DeAndre Jordan to set up a rebuild without completely tanking their future seasons away to do so.  They have added G Avery Bradley and F Tobias Harris to a squad with some young talent including G Patrick Beverley, F Danilo Gallinari, and G Austin Rivers.  Dealing away both Jordan and Williams could help them grab some strong young talent and pick up some draft picks to help with a quick rebuild.

What is Going on in Cleveland?

Many things have been going on in Cleveland.  There have been rumors of Dan Gilbert putting the Cavaliers on the market for sale.  Also the Cavs had a big talk as a team targeted at guys not putting in enough effort.  LeBron has had rumors go around of him not returning to Cleveland and it sure looks that way.  Isaiah Thomas is displeased as well with the Cavaliers noting that it isn’t like Boston as they don’t practice very much and the team does not work together as a whole.  Kevin Love is out for 6-8 weeks, which also doesn’t help the cause and this team is just nose diving into a disgusting end.  If LeBron leaves there is no future for this team to go off of and they will most likely lose IT this summer as well.  Good luck Cleveland, you’re gonna need it.
