Projected Pac-12 Standings Recap

March 8, 2017 Off By tailgatesports

On February 12th, while I was covering the Colorado vs Washington State game live in Boulder, CO, I decided to make predictions for how the standings will finish in one of the hardest Conferences in College Basketball, the Pac-12. At the time each team had 5 games left in the season, with most organizations having a tough end to their regular season schedule. My predictions, which are posted below, include projected standings, overall records, Pac-12 records, and what games I predicted each team would win and lose. With the exception of Washington State, who seemed to finally get into rhythm at the very end of the season, I was either perfect, or practically perfect on all predictions.  I predicted Stanford upsetting Cal, Oregon winning out, Colorado finishing the season with some very impressive wins, and Cal having a pretty disappointing finish to the regular season, but games like Oregon State recording their only Pac-12 win against Utah instead of Stanford, Arizona winning at ASU on Senior Night, and the fact that Washington, instead of Washington State, went winless in their last 5 games completely blindsided me.  Regardless, my predictions for the Conference of Champions were still very successful.  I’ll have more predictions for the Pac-12 Tournament, NIT Tournament, maybe even the CBI Tournament, and of course, the NCAA Tournament coming out very soon, so don’t forget to check my predictions before you fill out your bracket.
