Ryan Scimone’s Preseason Picks for Final Four, National Champion, Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year

Yesterday, the day finally arrived. College hoops fans have been waiting since North Carolina cut the nets down last April! With the season officially beginning, I will be giving my best guess as to who will win the National Champion, be in the Final Four, win Player of the Year, and win Coach of the Year. Before I give my picks, I just want to say that, YES, I understand how ridiculous it is to be predicting the Final Four preseason, given the fact that we have no idea what the final March Madness bracket will look like. But, hey, I figure I have almost as good a chance at guessing now than in March so I might as well give it a shot. It is all dart throws anyway, it is called March MADNESS for a reason.

COACH OF THE YEAR:

Gregg Marshall, Wichita State

PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

Miles Bridges, Michigan State

FINAL FOUR PICKS:

MICHIGAN STATE

WICHITA STATE

DUKE

MIAMI HURRICANES

NATIONAL CHAMPION:

MICHIGAN STATE: If you have seen the the Tailgatesports Power Rankings, then you have seen that I ranked the Spartans as my number one team in the nation. With Miles Bridges and Tom Izzo at the helm, I think they will be the last ones standing at the end of a crazy March Madness tournament!
