With the NFL season finally coming to a finish, the next major event for teams is the NFL Draft. I have already started my mock drafts and have my most up to date one below. I will also breakdown all of the rumors and reports that come in around this time of the year, so stay locked to Tailgate Sports for all NFL Draft updates. This Mock Draft does not include any trades as I haven’t heard anything as of late for a team to trade up or down. Some of the picks will come as a surprise; enjoy!

*Bills have the 22nd pick from the Chiefs

  1. Browns: A running back at number one? This could happen as they have interest at multiple quarterbacks, and also want the best prospect in the draft.
  2. Giants: They take the most well rounded quarterback in the draft.
  3. Colts: The Colts could have taken Barkley if he was still available, but now they grab the best defensive end to upgrade their pass rush.
  4. Browns: They grab a ready to go quarterback that will help the offense right away and become a leader.
  5. Broncos: The Broncos select the quarterback with the highest ceiling. This could pay off big for the team, as they need a QB.
  6. Jets: I still have the Jets signing Kirk Cousins, but they need to find another corner, and Ward fits perfectly with them.
  7. Buccaneers: They possibly get one of the best defensive players in the draft and best safety, as TJ Ward was a failed attempt.
  8. Bears: They could use a corner here, but there’s no one worthy of this high of a pick, so instead they grab the best wide receiver in the draft.
  9. 49ers: This is an easy pick for San Fran as they grab a talented guard who will help the offensive line right away.
  10. Raiders: They need help at linebacker,  and Smith is talented in all aspects of his game and can help right away.
  11. Dolphins: Davenport is still a raw talent that needs work, but he can become the future star of the team learning under Cameron Wake.
  12. Bengals: The offensive line was terrible last year, so this pick is a no brainer.
  13. Redskins: They took the an interior defense last year, but they still struggled with it, so they get the best interior defensive player in the draft, who fits perfectly.
  14. Packers: They need pass rush, so why not draft the most athletic rusher in the draft.
  15. Cardinals: A new coach means that they will look for a new franchise quarterback, and they find it with this pick.
  16. Ravens: Although they may go after Jarvis Landry in free agency, they still need more wide receivers as well.
  17. Chargers: The Chargers could use another tackle to bolster their offensive line.
  18. Seahawks: With Kam Chancellor possibly done forever, they find a replacement right away.
  19. Cowboys: Now that they’ve gotten their edge rush and secondary sorted out, they now need to work on the interior of the defensive line.
  20. Lions: The Lions need another interior defensive player to pair up with Robinson, so they is a easy pick right here.
  21. Bills: With Eric Wood having to retire they find a replacement right away.
  22. Bills: They had a great rookie corner, but they traded Darby and may lose another in free agency so they grab another great corner with this pick.
  23. Rams: The Rams are possibly going to lose some pieces in their secondary, so to keep up with this, they’ll look to add a corner that fits perfectly into the defense.
  24. Panthers: With multiple edge rushers getting older, they may look to add a young versatile player to back them up and eventually take over.
  25. Titans: The Titans offensive line is somewhat solid, but they could use an upgrade at guard
  26. Falcons: The Falcons may lose a receiver to free agency, and besides Julio Jones, they have no real threat to catch the ball, so this pick would fix it.
  27. Saints: When you look at the Saints, you don’t see much that needs to be drafted, but something they could use is a linebacker, so this pick makes sense as Jefferson can play both inside and outside linebacker.
  28. Steelers: With it looking like Ryan Shazier will never play football again, the Steelers will get a replacement right away.
  29. Jaguars: The Jaguars are thin on the offensive line, and will this pick they could bolster it.
  30. Vikings: The Vikings could use an upgrade at corner as Terrance Newman is getting older and Trae Waynes hasn’t lived up to the hype.
  31. Patriots: The Patriots pass rush was not relevant this year, and as many know, Belichick loves players that have played under Greg Schiano, which Hubbard did this past year.
  32. Eagles: Jason Peters suffered a tough injury this past year, but he will be back this year, but they’ll eventually need a replacement for him, so they go with an offensive lineman that just needs to be developed.
