FINALLY. The NBA All-Star Game that we have been searching for.  While it still was not exactly how the fans wanted it, it definitely got closer.  For the first time in a long time, it came down to the wire and the game was on the line with a last second shot attempt.  DEFENSE, ladies and gentlemen, DEFENSE.  Players were actually playing hard and it was a real culmination of the best talent in the NBA battling it out against each other for real.  Team Lebron was the victorious team, coming away with a 148-145 victory over Team Curry and for once I was very satisfied with the All-Star Game.  Players brought some intensity and some shots were actually blocked.  Yes, you read that right.

The game was interesting from start to finish. Of course it wasn’t incredibly serious, but guys wanted to win while also having some fun.  There were some cool highlight plays to watch and that will happen anytime you put the best talent in the NBA on the floor together.  In case you missed it the last shot of the game was in Curry’s hands at 3 to tie but Lebron and KD double teamed Steph and what do you really do when that happens?  For the first time in his life, Steph saw his basketball career flash before his eyes as Durant and Lebron rushed over to double team him.  Steph tried to get a good look but couldn’t and dumped it off to DeRozan who couldn’t get the shot off before the buzzer and down went Team Curry.

All and all, the weekend was great.  The Dunk Contest and Three Point Contest were fantastic.  Players really balled out in the All-Star Game and Quavo came home with a Celebrity Game MVP scoring 19pts.  Just to give you some stats here are the top 3 guys from each team.

Lebron James – 29pts 10reb 8ast 1stl

Kevin Durant – 19pts 6reb 5ast 3stl 1blk
